extremegreen™ is inorganic and has no toxic inputs. Furthermore, it does not off-gas. It contains no formaldehyde, fly ash or crystalline silica – ingredients/inputs found in plywood, OSB, fiber cement and gypsum based building materials.
extremegreen™ employs a low energy manufacturing process, as much as 50% less than competing building products and actually absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere during its exothermic curing process.
Magnesium Oxide (MgO): or Magnesia is a naturally occurring non-toxic inorganic mineral. This is fired and crushed to a talcum powder like consistently and mixed into a Magnesium Chloride solution.
Magnesium Chloride (MgCl2): Is mixed into an aqueous solution, to which Magnesium Oxide dust is added and mixed into a cementitious slurry.
Perlite (PO4): Is a form of Obsidian characterized by spherulites from by the cracking of volcanic glass during cooling. It is used widely as insulation and added to extremegreen™ to boost its resistance to fire.
Glass Fiber Mesh: A specially developed proprietary mesh design, is woven through extremegreen™, giving it its unique high-performance structural properties.
Recycled Wood Fibers: Are ground and mixed into the slurry to act as a binding agent to assist with the general performance of the product. They are completely saturated in the slurry, thus rendering them inorganic.
